Feeling bubbly?

Bubbly
Sang by: Colbie Caillat
Recommended by: Yazmin Zakaria

"...It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes I always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time
where ever you go..."

I don't think she dedicated this to me but I've been lurking at her blog so I thought what the heck, I'll just promote this song ne~
check it out, here~
Judging by the songs Amir's been singing, I'm sure he'll find this delightful :)

Mock exam in 2 weeks
*stress buat nota
At times like this, I miss my roomie that'll most probably freak out at what I'm eating and the amount of hours I sleep...
.....Wina, come to London ne~

Orang tak nak Ilmu

Blog hari ni dalam Bahasa Malaysia ye

Sbb nak bercerita tentang rakan-rakan kelas la ni.
Kurang ajar, memang kurang ajar.
Ade ke patut sbb cikgu yang mengajar tak cakap Bahasa Inggeris dengan loghat derong tu.....
....Boleh derong mengejek cikgu tu?
Mengejek kuat-kuat plak tu...

Ilmu... sanggup derong tolak... pastu baling semula kat muka cikgu tu...

Productive or Non-productive?

Don't Be Ridiculous

Tomorrow got no class~
Yay!
First off, shall I tell you all about my sordid affairs with Waffles.Msoc_dinner_012
Ah yes, those delicacies that keep me fat.
I was hooked by Gelare's, Bali's Sheraton and my newest addiction: Waffle House in London. LOVE IT~
Must get Kak Nur to try it to so that she'll be addicted as well.
Of course, the only time I'll go there again is when my wallet is extra fat and I don't hutang Melissa ANYTHING anymore.

Some crazy guy sent me an email wanting to hook me up with his friend.
No, I am not lonely,
And yes, I am extremely insulted.
The only people that actually can talk about  Panas-es would be currently my old clan in Langkawi, my old clan in Banting, my sisters, Melissa n Amir.

Ah yes, Ladies & Gents, please do not rinse your mouth after brushing them with toothpaste. Just brush, spit it out and smile. Let the fluoride stay on your teeth.
Of course, this is only recommendable if you put a tiny pea size of colgate on your toothbrush and not like the whole tube.Oh, and only if you trust oral hygienist in London (unlike Melissa who thinks it's crap).
Ah gomen ne Melissa, terburukkan your name again.
hahHHHhhAH.

That's it.
Check out a song called Niji sang by Nino.
I fell in love with the song, the instruments played in it and the guy singing it.
Minna, let's go to Japan and marry Nino.
Arome, please, please, pleeeeeeeeeeease bring me there
:)

Short Events

Happenings of this week or so:

  • Ate mac n cheese n ice cream for lunch. Sinfully unhealthy but  delicious ne~ Didn't hear Melissa complaining about hypertensi or things like that. Hahahha
  • Pin number of my debit card went to my house in MALAYSIA.... Nandayo~~ I'm here in London! Like just 2 blocks away from the bank!!
  • Officially NOT pokai anymore. Now, must pay off my hutangssss. *burnt hole in my pocket
  • Did a dye test on my teeth. For those non-dentistry student, it's to check for plaques on the teeth. Let me say that I'm glad I did not come home to Mummy to show my pink-purplish stained teeth.... ;)
  • Spent 5 minutes in front of the mirror brushing my teeth. 2 minutes if brushing, 1 minute of freaking out cause my gums bled and 2 more minutes to curse myself for not scaling my teeth in Malaysia.
  • Learned that our DNA is 6 feet long and it's tightly packed into each nucleus in each cell of our body. God, He's amazing, ne..
  • Heard gruesome, horror, painful stories of Amir's younger years. Ladies, please be thankful that we are ladies.

Ahahaha, that's all I can think of at the moment.
Jaaa ne~

1st day or raya-ing

Quick summary of my 1st day Raya in London

5.42am: Oh my God!!! Sahur. No wait, it's Raya. *sink back under my duvet

7.30am: Oh my God!! I missed Sahur again! No wait, it's just knocking on my door. It's Liyana, delaying our solat Raya cause the seniors are going to class. *jump back on bed, under duvet

8.27am: Heads to the bathroom. Met Aizat halfway in my blue-stripped pajamas, a towel wrapped around my head and taik mata in my eyes. Gosh, let's hope he's blind without his glasses.

11.05am: Reached East London Mosque. Filled with women or all ages and races, talking among themselves. The air is filled with laughter, shrieks, children's voices and occasionally the words "Sisters, be QUIET!!"

11.54am: Exited the mosque quietly. We left as soon as the Imam started khutbah-ing in a language unknown to me, Raziana or Liyana.

2.00pm: Met everyone at the entrance. Wore my white baju kurung nicely hidden under my brown coat. Amir is devastated his flaming red baju melayu is exactly the same as Aizat's.

3.17pm: Reached the Hi-Com's house. After the mishap of chasing the tube and Amir tertinggal in the bus, this open house better be worth more than the tube fee.

5.45pm: Left the house after eaten nasi, ayam, daging, kuah dhal, kueh tart and choc chip cookies while standing up. Took a whole load of pics (which can be viewed at my photo album) and took the tube home.

6.14pm: Slept on the tube. Let's all be grateful that we went as a group, not alone. At least they are people to wake me up so that I don't end up in God-Knows-Where.

7.10pm: Helped the seniors to cook soto, half-asleep. Wondered how I'm going to be able to stay awake for the Floyer's Raya Dinner.

8.50pm: Am extremely awake with a plate of rice, rendangs, ayam merah, roti jala and kurma, lontong, cheesecake and apples. Sat on a floor. Was given a whole bottle of Pepsi. Unfortunately for Raziana, some spilled on her pretty yellow baju kurung. By me.

10.36pm: Gossiped with Amir, Raziana and Melissa about our old life in KMB. Points to remember: Never maki Raziana or stop Melissa from doing her laundry ne~ Munched choc chip cookies. Hooked already, I'm addicted to it.

11.04pm: Called home and talked to family. Saw Daddy in baju melayu, mummy in telekung, Yazmin tak mandi lagi and my brother sleeping in front of the comp... Ah, 21 years of raya-ing in Msia coming back to me.

12.17am: Struggling to keep my eyes open by watching Will & Grace. Melissa forbidden me from sleeping with my stomach full, indigestion. Must follow her religious, healthy life. Or not... will end up being fat, horror~

2.00am: Crawled under my duvet, dreaming of lodehs and ketupats in Msia

That's it. Now, pictures~

Malam Raya

Esok raya in London
Macam tak caya je..
... Was cooking spaghetti when suddenly...
'Esok RAYA~'
Ahahahaha, the seniors here very semangat.
Immediately started cooking.
We freshers, only help laaa...
....kupas bawang and makan all their samples
Yum!
So lucky got loads of nice Msian seniors here ne
Yokatta ne~

Amir started singing Raya songs during dinner, didn't feel anything.
Thus, I'm dubbed abnormal ne. Ciiis.
Called home after that...
...Aiseyhh maaaaaaaaaaaaan.

I wonder if Daddy's walking around in his kain pelikat n baju melayu eating pieces of newly cooked rendang.
I wonder of Mummy is vigorously preparing and cooking rendang, ketupat, lodeh, ayam pok and satay all in one go. (Believe me, she is capable of that)
I wonder if Kak Nur is cleaning the Raya plates and potong-ing all the bawangs and stuff.
I wonder if Mynn is helping by stirring the rendang and pretending to sleep when everyone angkat barang.
I wonder is Alif will try to stay up till midnight even though his eyes look like the panda's.
I wonder ne~
*crawls under duvet and dream of lodehs and ketupats.

Of Soup and Mooncakes

Cooked soup the other day.
Niceeeee with a whole load of soy sauce.
Now we all know Melissa love tawar-tasting food.
Amir joined too. It's better having a guy help cook. Then he can help carry heavy stuff, like the freakishly hot pot.
Plus, Amir potong most of the veggies while we girls gossip :)

Ate mooncake as well. Found it in ChinaTown. The only thing that convinced me to buy was the word 'Buatan Malaysia'. Aahhaha.
Plus, cute bunny ne~

Had a new lecturer today... amazingly blue eyes. Lost my attention for the first 5 mins. Hheheh. Neways, also learnt about The Cell Cycle. My lecturer said "The cell had an option; either to enter the cell cycle, enter Go and differentiate or enter Go and die..."
Imagine that, the tiniest thing had to make such an important decision...
....God is Almighty ne~

One more thing, just saw the Petronas advertisement for Raya.
Check it out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VUtcYVnDxJw
Nothing else to say except..... I want my Daddy!!!!!!!!!

What a week

I have a feeling I go to Sainsbury every day.
The other day I went to Sainsbury for the 3rd time this week and I virtually saw the words 'Oh my God, Her again' in the cashier's thought bubble.
Mane la tak... Imagine this:
Melissa: Sarah, we need to buy bread
Sarah   : Oh? Where's the cheapest?
Melissa: Sainsbury
Hah! That happens all the time. It's like One Utama in UK.

On a brighter note, had 2 jamuans this week.
The first one was from JPA at Holiday Villa.
Went late, got lost, asked for directions, got lost again, ran up and down a street and finally bursting through the front door right on time as the azan berkumandang
Perfect timing, ne~

The other one was held by the International Society.
No problems there, since it's just around the corner.
Ate alot of kambing that night..
Ah... gomen Mummy, beef is really sacred here.
Whataweek_016 Whataweek_018

Ah yes.
Tried our first red-public-telephone-box-phonecall as well.
The machine gobbled up all our coins.
But it sure was fun to wedge open the heavy door, avert our eyes from crude porno pictures and tahan-ing our nose from sniffing the ciggie smoke.

Fun week~

Beloved Heater

Recess.
One hour.
Fasting.
Nothing to do.
Thank God Melissa's room got a heater~
