Small Things

Burp~
Just finished eating mushroom and onion omelette and nasi goreng cina.
We cooked it.
No, it didn't burn. It was actually quite nice.
Yes, amin. I do know how to cook.
Those years trapped in the kitchen 'buang ekor tauge' and 'kopek bawang' with Mummy must have rubbed some Cooking Miracle on me.
Aah~ Nevertheless, I couldn't keep my eyes of Terry's baked chicken and fries.
Nandayo~ It's so hard to keep my nafsu makan under control ne.
Hehhehe.
On the other hand, minna, what did you have for dinner?
I'm sure those in Msia are bantai-ing kebab, nasi briyani, bubur kacang and soya bean.
Aisyhh, we never appreciate these small things...

Sharing time!

It's Nino, with a pole. Kyaa~
I put it all over my desktop this morning.
And all I can think about at that moment,
is how Mynn and Knur would go 'She's soooo addicted!!"

Again... we never appreciate these small things.
Until it is gone.

Oxford Street was cold today. Melissa's nose gone bright red.
Ah yes, I bought a black, winter coat for 20 pounds.

Pooley is meccha far

Berbuka pose at Amir's house in Mile End.
It was faaaaaaaaaaaaaar~
Nearly pengsan by the time we finally reached his door.
Nevertheless, it was nice to eat together.
Although 3 people had to share a plate and Afif only managed to eat a small portion.
Hahah.
Gomen ne Amir, I broke your plate~

Neways, love attending buka pose/dinner at orang lain punye tempat.
Minna-san, invite me for dinner ne~
I promise to be a good guest
:)

East London

Waah... almost 2 weeks already.Arrival_028
Really haven't grasp the fact that I'm going to stay here in London for 5 years.
However, I have grasped the many nitty-gritty rules of living here:

  • Only cross at the 'Green Man' traffic light and make sure that it is GREEN (or if there's no car, can try your luck la) or not they'll hoooooooooooooooooon all the way from behind
  • Stand on only the right side of the escalator. They WILL push you.
  • Walk very, very, very fast. Take long strides. This, i presume is very troublesome for some Malaysians as our kaki tak la panjang sangat
  • Do not answer knocks at 2am in the morning. Drunks playing around.
  • Never be late. Which is 5 minutes before whatever starts. They frown and perli and do not give notes to those who arrived 3 minutes before the agreed time.
  • Never stammer when you're talking to the shop owner. First of all, they hardly understand our oh-so-American accent. Secondly, they'll think you're afraid of them and will definitely bully you for it.
  • Don't even try to inject Malaysian words while you're talking to the locals. They look at you as if you can't talk English. Which is bad. As they'll start talking with their superbly-hard-to-understand-British-accent.
  • If you have something bad about someone to talk about, talk fully in BM. Don't even try to whisper. They got ears like a wolf.

Aaah... I'm being very jahat right now, talking bad about Londoners ne~
Gomen ne~ I must be meccha sleepy
Ah well, Loving London actually. Thankful to God.

And finally, Londoners go karaoke, walk EVERYWHERE, shop at all the branded outlets and get to watch tv online.... Mynn, you'll love it here :)

Corrected Lens

I finally got my glasses.
To those people who have been shouting "Get your OWN freaking glasses"..
... yes, well, I got them.
To those who I promised I will get one as soon as I'm confirmed going to UK...
... kept my promise
And to Wina's old, blue, battered glasses...
... goodbye, my dear-without-you-I-am-blind-in-lectures-and-have-to-depend-on-Fien's-notes friend.
Anyhow.
As I put on my brand new, spanking, silver, semi-frameless glasses,
the kind salesperson put a mirror in front of me.
So, the first thing I see is me. In glasses.
And everything is superbly 100% clear.
Yup, finally I'm seeing my face with corrected lens.
And Oh my God, I see all the spots, blackhead and 500 pimples on my face...
Nande? Nandayo~

Somebody, recommend me a good facial cleanser ne?
I'll grab one in UK ;)

What stress can do to you

I had a dream the other day.
I dreamt my right hand grew really big and look grotesquely disfigured.
Then I found out that actually my forearm bones moved. Instead of it being horizontal lying flat... it was vertical.
So what did my dream-self do? I pushed it back. And it hurt like kene gigit nyamuk?
Weird huh?
Freaky.
I mean I've never had weird dreams like this. It's always either I'm being chased or I lost my house or something like that.
I woke up with a jump and had to stare at my right hand for like 20 seconds to realise that it's actually just a dream.
Still having goosebumps thinking about it.
So, any dream interpreters out there reading my blog?
Tell me this is just stress because I received my visa 3 days late.

On a brighter note, check out this picture.

It's Oh-chan in a pelampung

Got this from email. You know, the forwarded one.

I'm sure everyone has heard about this story. In one way or another.

But the pictures caught my mind (and a small part of my stomach) so I thought I post it here.

There are 4 things that you cannot recover

  1. The stone after the throw
  2. The word after it's said
  3. The occasion after the loss
  4. The time after it's gone

This goes to all the times:

  • I did things without thinking long and got into major trouble for doing it.
  • I said bad things about other people that turned out to be wrong
  • I did not manage to capture the moment when it's dancing in front of me
  • I was bad-tempered and unforgiving during my childhood just so that I'm considered an angst teen

Sorry for the crappy-sized pictures. You can click to see it properly I think.
